i have a smart roadster brabus 55 reg, which only appears to start of the key, how does it start off the engine start, do i need to take it to a smart garage for this function. regards Lisa

I have an April 2006 Smartfortwo Passion Grandstyle which has just done 24000 miles. My servicing bill was £860 - is this normal for a car this age? This included new disk brakes and two engine seals amongst every thing else.

Hi, just wandering if i can get a decent finance deal as i will have passed my test soon and would like a smart! :) i have a decent size budget for my age but money is still an issue. how much to pay monthly on a standard smart car? and could i get insurance through you guys? THANKS

Hi Pete, new to this ,i've just had my smart m.o.t done and they had to change a broken spring,but the front o/side strut was seized soild and they had to cut the strut out.its only done 47000miles,tell me thats not commom

Hi Pete bought smart from auction, no manual etc. Car good but battery went flat and now stereo in safe mode and haven't got code, any ideas, don't know anything about previous owner. Many thanks Diane

Hello Pete, each time I change gear there is a "thump" from the gearbox as it seems to be taking up some slack. Could you tell me how to overcome this prob? Many thanks, Alan.

Hello, Pete, sorry to bother you with this query about tuning boxes...I am about to buy, 2nd-hand, the 2009 production model of the 45bhp Smart fourtwo coupe CDI Pure (Common Rail 0.8 ltr). On learning that Mercedes have retuned the 2010 model to give 20% more bhp, I researched tuning boxes and came up with a sophisticated one that is not supposed to invalidate the warranty and can theoretically produce up to 35% more bhp. It is the Speedhawk Diesel Tuning Box, found at www.bhpplus.co.uk and recommended by them for the "FourTwo 0.8 CDI 45bhp CR-3" (my model). Would you approve of fitting this to my Smart, and do you know anyone who has reported good, poor or disastrous results from fitting this device? The price, £325, seems well worth it, if it raises my car's performance to equal the 2010 CDI's, or even surpass it.
